The richest values of life are never mathematical, they are moral ventures. Professor Luccock 1931 If two pools of water were high in a mountain and one decided to go down the mountain and become a stream, some might tell it that it is a waste to venture out and foolish to give its water away. But once it decided to venture out and share the water it had, it would find in time many beautiful plants and trees grew from water it shared. With time it would see the other pool who decided to keep all the water to itself and never venture out, would be covered with green slime and stench. So it is with boys, venturing out and sharing what you have is what make communities great and what Boy Scouts is all about. Debra Oaks Coe |
